The Warriors Turning Into Gold
Who could ever think that the Golden State Warriors would beat the Dallas Mavericks two times in three games? Who could ever anticipate a major upset in the making in the history of sports? Nobody except the Warriors themselves.
In a night in which the Mavericks had to win and control the series, the Warriors became the aggressors instead and pulled up 109-91 victory Friday night and lead the series, 2-1.
Jason Richardson scored 30 points and Baron Davis added 20 to lead the impregnable attack of the Warriors at the teeth of the Mavs who were trailing double digits almost the whole game.
Dirk Nowitzki had 20 points and 12 rebounds but lacked the leadership to energize the whole team. Josh Howard scored 20 points while Jason Terry made 14.
The Mavericks are missing the confidence and the swagger that brought them as the top seed.
Game 4 will be played on Sunday, April 29.
