Stoudemire, Diaw suspended
It was Robert Horry’s fault. A cheap shot on Steve Nash which caused an uproar from the Phoenix Suns bench that forced Amare Stoudemire and Boris Diaw to step near the scene. Yes, Both Stoudemire and Diaw were suspended for game 5.
Robert Horry received two-game supension for flagrant foul on Nash and for hitting Raja Bell above the shoulder.
Charles Barkley right after game four on TNT defended the Suns but expecting that Stoudemire and Diaw would be suspended. He said that it happened to him before with just a step on the floor.
NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Stu Jackson told reporters in a conference call after announcing the suspensions that the league’s longstanding policy of invoking its leave-the-bench rule without considering additional factors made the Suns’ suspensions automatic.
Is this fair enough considering that Horry instigated the actions? This series is undeniably the best contested one assuming that the winner will be the eventual champion, I therefore say, “Let them play”.
