Five Reasons Why Spurs Will Sweep Cavs

San Antonio SpMillions of NBA fans including all basketball experts believe that the San Antonio Spurs will win the NBA title against the Cleveland Cavaliers. But how many games? Charles Barkley predicted 4-1, had he not been wrong most of the time?

Here are the five reasons why the Spurs eventually will wind up 4-0.

1.The Hunger Factor. Coming into season, no team is hungrier than the Spurs. They should have won the title last year if it wouldn’t been for the ineffective seeding.

2. Spuracious Defense. There is no defensive scheme better than of Greg Popovich. It deranged the triangle offense of Phil Jackson in the past. It clamped down the best offensive team, the Phoenix Suns, of Mike D’Antony two times in the last three years.

3. Bruce Bowen and Tim Duncan’s defense. I need to include the individual defense of Bowen against Lebron James. What lacked the the previous opponents of the Cavs was a legitimate shotblocker. Once James enters into the paint, Tim Duncan will be there to block him.

4. The Troika. The greatness of the Spurs rely not only on their defense but the offense. Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobli are too much for the Cavs.

5. The Experience. When the game comes down to the last 2 minutes, the Spurs can handle any pressure. They have been in so many contested battles, most of the time they prevailed.

Let’s wait and see these five things in the NBA Finals starting on Thursday.

  1. David Michaels Says:

What are you - stupid! The Cavaliers play tenacious defense and have the blossoming star of the NBA in LeBron James. You don’t know about them because you can’t take your eyes off the so-called “marquee” teams. Larry Hughes, Daniel Gibson, Anderson Varejao, Z, Sasha Pavlovec, Drew Gooden … will add up to victory - CAVS in SIX!

  2. Dr. Cleamon Says:

Indeed! The Spurs will hand it to the Cavs by just being in the Finals. The league is becoming a mockery with its attempt to prompt viewer-ship based on hype and inflated late game heroics. Yes, James was totally on a mission in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals. But mind you. his great performance was coupled by an exhausted over-achieving PIstons team that has made it to the conference finals 5 years in a row, resulting in 2 eastern Conference championships and the Larry O’Brien Hardware. Let’s not get carried away, the Cavs suck, but I guess its good T.V., if you believe the hype…

  3. Dan Says:

Umm….yeah the spurs are up 3-0 now.
