New England Patriots violates league rules by spying

Tuesday, September 11th, 2007

According to league sources, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has determined that the New England Patriots violated league rules when it videotaped defensive signals by New York Jets coaches during the Patriots’ 38-14 win Sunday. There will be a hearing with the Patriots — mostly likely by phone by the end of the week — and then a ruling by the commissioner that could cost New England draft picks.

Well, whatever the decision will be. It is still the Patriots who are supposed to win this season.

The two sides met in person Monday for the third time in four days and were hashing out final details of the contract, according to a person familiar with the talks who spoke on condition of anonymity. The final contract needs to be approved by the NFL.

Repeat for the Colts?

Thursday, September 6th, 2007

It’s really hard to tell that the Indianapolis Colts will win the Super Bowl this time. With te New England waiting on the wings, it seems that they will be having difficult times.

The Colts had an unusually busy off-season for a defending champion, losing more than a dozen players from the Super Bowl-winning team. Just weeks after the victory in Miami, basking in the glow was replaced by plugging the holes.

When fans gather for the festivities that surround tonight’s regular-season home opener against the New Orleans Saints, they can look at the familiar visages of Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne gazing down from huge banners around town. But it is the new faces who may determine how much of a chance the Colts have to defend their title.

This is nothing new for a franchise that has been built assiduously through the draft and has watched some of its best talent — most notably, the Pro Bowl running back Edgerrin James — head out the door for greater riches, with no drop-off in results.

Rodney Harrison Receives Four Game Suspension

Friday, August 31st, 2007

New England Patriots safety Rodney Harrison will be suspended four games by the NFL for admitting that he obtained human growth hormone. This is according to a report by ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.

His name came up in federal and New York state investigations into an Internet pharmaceutical distribution ring for steroids and other performance enhancers, according to the report.

This is the second suspension of Harrison’s career. He was suspended one game by the league in 2002 for a helmet-to-helmet hit on then-Oakland Raiders wide receiver Jerry Rice.

Going to watch the Riders using my Second Hand Ford Car

Friday, August 31st, 2007

V CarsNFL is my favorite sports. Last year, we attended the all the games of the Oakland Riders. It was exciting even the Riders were losing almost every game. I went with my friends who are Riders’ fans also. Sometimes we watched the San Francisco 49ers which is our second team. We were just unlucky for the both of the teams kept on losing. Yes, we drove their in Oakland and San Francisco using our Used Ford Cars.

All of my friends are driving Ford. It has been a tradition to our family since our grandparents to drive Ford cars. It is really exciting to drive them because it is one of the most driven car in America and it will always bring pride once you drive one. It is very popular here that when my friends saw me driving Mustang, they say “Wow”. I love driving Ford because of its maneuverability and its appearance. At work they always marvel at me when they see me driving.

Ford Cars are not prominent only here in the United States but also in UK. The evidences are the numbers of Ford Dealers in UK which are supplying for the people. They like Ford Cars also that a tremendous amount of sales every year. In finding for the dealers, I am using Vcars for search. It gives me the specific results of my searches.

Also, once you find the dealer, you can communicate to them immediately. It is not only Ford that are included in VCars but all the car manufacturers. Kurt Warner: A Christian Athlete

Thursday, August 30th, 2007

I love watching sports especially those Christian athletes. I used to idolize Kurt Warner in his era with the Rams. He always testified about his relationship with Jesus Christ. And the he made Jesus Is Lord in his life. You know the success of his story. He won a Superbowl, a two time MVP and quarterback the offense which was called “The Greatest Show on Turf”.

Wherever Kurt Warner is right now, I salute him for showing much credit and worship to the God of his life.

Huard the starting QB of the Chiefs

Saturday, August 25th, 2007

Damon HuardI believe it was a very big mistake for the Kansas City Chief to let Trent Green play last year despite of the sterling performances of Damon Huard.  This time he is given what he deserves.

Huard, a career backup who played well in relief last season, was selected the starting quarterback Saturday for the Kansas City Chiefs.

The 34-year-old Huard went 5-3 last season after Trent Green was injured in the season opener. He had been battling second-year quarterback Brodie Croyle for the job after Green was traded to Miami.

Tony Dungy’s humility in offseason

Friday, August 24th, 2007

Tony DungyIndianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy got his dose of humility in a New York City bookstore this offseason.

“Yeah, I was going through the offseason feeling pretty good about everything when my wife and I were in the bookstore,” said Dungy, the man of grace, a Super Bowl ring and now a best-selling book. “Then someone from the bookstore came up to me and said, ‘It’s so good to have you here, Coach Edwards.’ … The Lord has a way of keeping you humble.”

Dungy shared a laugh over that with his good friend and former assistant, Kansas City coach Herm Edwards. More important, the moment was the first of many reminders that winning a Super Bowl guarantees little in life, even recognition.

The further reminder of that has come in training camp. The Colts may be the defending champions, but they are a very different team from that rainy night in Miami during Super Bowl XLI less than seven months ago.

Is He Guilty?

Thursday, August 23rd, 2007

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick will not admit to killing dogs or gambling on dog fights, as detailed in his indictment, when he enters a guilty plea in a Richmond, Va., federal court Monday, a source close to the case has told ESPN. Instead, the one count of conspiracy that Vick will plead to will admit guilt to the charge of interstate commerce for the purpose of dogfighting.

The source says Vick maintains he never killed dogs and never gambled on a dog fight. He will admit he was present when dogs were killed, but that he did not personally kill any of the dogs.

The allegations of killing dogs and gambling were part of the picture painted by Vick’s three co-defendants, all of whom have pleaded guilty.
