Bonds, Glavine, A-Rod chase history today
Tuesday, July 31st, 2007Of Barry Bonds, Tom Glavine, Alex Rodriguez, which of them will reach the chase first? Bonds is going for 755 to tie Hank Aaron of the MLB homerun record. A-Rod is chasing 500. And Glavine going for the elite 300 wins.
The most significant of this three will be of Barry Bonds in which for sure ESPN will cover it in all of his at bats. But never forget A-Rod, he is on his face for 800 homeruns. What about the great Tom Glavine? Will they reach it? I believe Bonds will have his 755 today.
Alberto Contador won the doping-scarred Tour de France on Sunday, a new, young and unlikely winner for the three-week race shaken to its core by scandals.
The young Dontrelle Willis denied Barry Bonds to tie Hank Aaron at 755 homeruns. Willis was superb in the mound that Bonds went hitless. With the crowd in anticipation of of history, Willis was more that ready. He didn’t want history to be against him. His fastballs were almost unhittable. Let’s wait for another day.
